THE C-LEG
PO&P
practitioners have received additional highly specialized training which ultimately earned PO&P a distinctive certification that enables us to utilize the C-LEG by Otto Bock for our patients having specific needs. The C-leg introduces new technology that makes full intelligent control of a prosthesis system and adaptation to your individual gait pattern possible. It uses microprocessor-controlled hydraulics which dynamically adapts the system to all walking speeds in real time. At the same time, it makes it possible to reliably secure the standing phase.

This proven regulator mechanism is realized using a complex system of sensors. The sensors record stress every 0.02 seconds, thus the knee joint permanently recognizes which walking phase you are currently in, and makes it possible for you to swing your lower leg through smoothly. Whether you are rushing to the bus in the morning, taking a casual walk in the woods with your family, or going down the stairs; the C-Leg adjusts automatically. You move more easily without constantly thinking about the prosthesis, and this more physiological movement will relieve your sound side, too.

Permanent stance phase security ensures optimal safety. Your leg no longer buckles accidentally on uneven surfaces. Even stumbling, darkness, or dense crowds no longer present insurmountable obstacles as the C-Leg is secured by a high level of resistance in the stance phase and switches to the swing phase only when required. Of course, you also benefit from other advantages of the C-Leg Technology: Stance phase flexion (yielding), a dynamic structure, low energy expenditure while walking, and the ability to bear weight on the prosthesis during flexion.

THE RHEO KNEE
PO&P
practitioners have obtained specialized training which earned PO&P an additional certification to utilize the RHEO KNEE by Ossur for our patients with specific needs. The Rheo knee is the world's first microprocessor swing and stance knee system to utilize the power of artificial intelligence. Capable of independent thought, it learns how the user walks, recognizing and responding immediately to changes in speed, load and terrain.

The knee adapts to any situation, and not just within pre-set and limited parameters, enabling the individual to quickly regain confidence in his or her ability to walk where and how they choose. The Rheo knee is also available with a threaded top adapter that is aimed for users with knee disarticulation or with long residual limbs.

THE PROPRIO FOOT
PO&P
practitioners have received additional specialized training which earned PO&P a unique certification to utilize the PROPRIO FOOT by Ossur for our patients with specific needs. The Proprio foot is the world's first intelligent foot module that provides unprecedented physiological benefits for trans-tibial amputees. A wide and automated range of ankle flexion with proven Flex-Foot dynamics means function is as close as you can get today to the human foot.
The Proprio foot thinks for itself, responding beautifully to changing terrain and transforming the approach to stairs and slopes, as well as level-ground walking. Angling itself appropriately, it also helps amputees to sit and stand up easily and more naturally. The Proprio foot also has a calibrated alignment control feature. Overall, the effect is a feeling of improved proprioception with a more balanced, symmetric and confident gait with reduced wear and tear on the back, hips and knee.

THE ADAPTIVE KNEE
PO&P
practitioners have received specialized training earning PO&P a special certification which enables us to offer the ADAPTIVE KNEE by Endolite to our patients with specific needs. The Adaptive knee is the first microprocessor controlled knee that combines the power and stability of hydraulics with the natural comfort of pneumatics - a true partnership of three technologies that enables the knee to respond to the amputee's body movements and the terrain for a smoother, more confident performance.
The subtle balance between body power and limb control is what makes the Adaptive different from all other knees. Whether walking at fast or slow speeds; negotiating stairs or ramps; in crowded malls or out on the golf course; the Adaptive knee gives the amputee the most freedom possible to feel secure enough to get to their destination with confidence.
